wow. I love the raw feel of this shot. I assume the manipulation was the red in the tree?
nice focus too.

:D
thank you very much
the red in the tree was originally an orangy-yellow color; I just darkened it a little...
I'm suprised this shot turned out as well as it did
it was taken in sweden and the swedish forest mosquitos are literally out for blood
I was being eaten alive and I had no time to adjust any settings on my camera
I just clicked and then I bolted as fast as I could..! :fear:

Oo.. Interesting and very cool! I like it very much.. :)

Just asking, have you ever been in Finland? :)

and yes I have been to Finland, only once though and it was a long, long time ago.
I did however grow up next door to you more or less... in Stockholm, Sweden :)

oh my gawd this is so beautiful.
it deserved a DDF, congratulations dahling.
that might be just the best tree-corpse photograph i have ever seen.
the border around it nicely highlights the reflection of the light on the trunk.
again lovely.
where did you find such spot?

Wicked shot. The depth of field in this is really good, as are the colours and contrast.
