which reminds me that when hubby's cousin kay moved here from germany, i had to convince him to start spelling his name "kai" or he'd get a lot of confused looks :giggle:

I guess it is a swedishized form of John.. we do have Johns in Sweden though... real ones I mean... not those kind (well we do but that's not what I'm talking about)... guys named John (or Jon)... my brother's name is Johnny :thumbsup:
actually... Jan may be a swedish version of Ian rather than John... but perhaps Ian and John are related, name-wise that is...
